Coffee stain on a sofa

·

Coffee is one of the most common stains on sofas and armchairs, and it reaches us very often. Gently blot the excess liquid with paper right away and don't use household cleaners, and the stain will be easier to remove completely later.

What should you do right away if coffee spilled on your sofa?

Gently blot the excess liquid with paper or a cloth, don't rub. Don't use dish soap, vinegar or other household cleaners, because they can damage the fabric and even set the stain. Especially on light fabric, act quickly and order cleaning as soon as possible.

Does a coffee stain always come out completely?

Usually we can get rid of a coffee stain, including coffee with milk or sugar. The sooner the stain gets cleaned, the better the result. Very old stains, stains treated with household products and stains on light fabric may still leave a permanent mark.

Is an old, dried coffee stain harder to remove?

Yes, the longer a stain sits in the fabric, the harder it is to remove completely. If the stain is already some time old, we still recommend ordering cleaning, but the result may not be as good as with a fresh stain.

How do you remove a coffee stain?

We use hot-water extraction cleaning with an upholstery extractor and products suited to the stain. You can find the full process on the sofa cleaning page.

How much does coffee stain removal cost?

We don't offer removing a single stain on its own; we clean the whole sofa or armchair at once. The price depends on the piece of furniture, see the prices on sofa cleaning and armchair cleaning.
