How do you clean a mattress?

We use hot-water extraction cleaning with an upholstery extractor, the same method as for sofas and bed frames. The moisture tolerance of the mattress cover and filling may differ. We check the care label and decide on a suitable method accordingly; the suitability of wet cleaning cannot be guaranteed from the name of the material.

How much does mattress cleaning cost?

The first price is for cleaning one side, the second for both sides and the edges. Drying 8–12 h in both cases.

Can mattress cleaning be ordered separately, or only together with the bed frame?

How long does a mattress take to dry and when can you sleep on it?

The mattress dries in 8–12 hours, whether one side or both sides are cleaned. You cannot sleep on a wet mattress, so plan the cleaning time accordingly.

What are the most common stains on a mattress?

Are there special considerations for a memory foam mattress?

For a memory foam mattress, both the cover and the filling must be assessed. Send a photo of the care label and the mattress type before ordering; we agree on the cleaning method after assessing suitability. Not all mattresses can be wet cleaned. Read more about wet cleaning vs dry cleaning.

Very old stains (especially on light fabrics), stains already treated with household products and stains caused by permanent damage (e.g. water damage, body fluids) may not come out completely.

What does mattress cleaning include?

We inspect the material and stains, choose the pre-treatment and clean the agreed sides. The price for one side and the price for both sides with the edges are listed separately in the table; all are "from" prices. In the mattress cleaning price list you will also find the prices of other items.

Chemical mattress cleaning and material

Deep cleaning of upholstered furniture is often called chemical cleaning. For fabric furniture we mainly use wet cleaning, i.e. hot-water extraction cleaning: the cleaning solution helps loosen the dirt and the machine extracts the water together with the dirt. We decide whether the method is suitable based on the material and the care label.

When assessing whether wet cleaning is suitable, the care label of a natural-fiber cover also matters. Prepare access to the agreed sides and make sure water, electricity and light are available on site. Put the bedding back only on a completely dry mattress.
